St. Albans Red Dragon Band

LOW BRASS

Welcome to the Saint Albans High School Marching Band low brass web page.  Above you will see the musicians the group is comprised of.  They go by the names of Caitlyn Johnson, Billy Mullins, Craig Nutter, Caleb Briles, Drew Lovejoy, Josh Sharp, Sam Bott, Zach Allen, Chris Wilson, Howie " Big Red" Hill, and a few not pictured...Kenton Bumgardner and Kathrine Hebbard.  The SAHS low brass members do nothing but eat, sleep, and breath marching and playing for four months of the year.  This section of the band has worked very hard and has earned a reputation as one of the loudest and best playing low brass sections in the Kanawha Valley.  The SAHS low brass members also pride themselves on their awesome marching ability.  The band is nothing but frilly notes without a mean low brass section and that is certianly what we are.  We hope with our efforts to push the 2008 SAHS Marching Band to a third year in a row win at the Chapter 8 Championships.   

For those of you who may not know Cierra Carr, an SAHS trumpet player was diagnosed with cancer in 2007.  She has made leaps and bounds from where she started about six months ago.  Unfortunately, doctors say she cannot march with the band this year.  She has gone through hip replacement and ankle surgery.  She is going to do her best to be with us this year and we really hope she can.  Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.  Cierra, everytime we step on the field it will be for YOU!!!
